Connector shielding classification
In electronic devices, it is sometimes necessary to limit the influence of power or magnetic lines to a certain range to prevent the influence of external electrostatic or electromagnetic induction forces within a certain space. In this case, use containers made of low resistance such as copper or aluminum to wrap all parts that need to be isolated; Or wrap it in a container made of magnetic material. We call these methods of preventing electrostatic or electromagnetic induction shielding. The principle of shielding is to use the reflection, absorption, and guidance of electromagnetic energy flow by the shielding body to suppress the propagation of electromagnetic noise in space. The specific implementation method is to use conductive or electromagnetic materials to make a shielding shell (solid or non solid), seal the area that needs to be shielded, and form electromagnetic isolation. According to the shielding principle, it can be divided into electric field shielding, magnetic field shielding, and electromagnetic shielding.
1. Electrostatic shielding
The main purpose of electrostatic shielding is to prevent the influence of electrostatic fields. Its function is to eliminate interference between two circuits caused by capacitive coupling. In addition, when placing a grounding conductor between two conductors, the electrostatic coupling between the two conductors is weakened, so the grounding conductor also has a shielding effect.
2. Electromagnetic shielding
The necessary condition for electromagnetic shielding is that high-frequency current flows through the shielding conductor, and the current must be in the direction of counteracting interference magnetic flux. If a seam is opened perpendicular to the direction of the current, there is no electromagnetic shielding effect.
3. Magnetic shielding
Magnetic shielding is mainly used for low frequencies. Due to the low frequency being not very effective, materials with high magnetic conductivity are used for shielding, limiting the magnetic line to the magnetic screen conductor with low magnetic resistance to prevent diffusion to the outside.
